bourbon, optional

Instructions
▢
Add all of the ingredients to a saucepan on medium heat.
▢
Allow the mixture to come to a simmer and let simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the plums are very soft and the sauce has thickened.
▢
Either transfer the mixture to a blender or use an immersion blender to blend it until it is smooth.
▢
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
