onion, peeled and cut in half

fresh basil, torn
Instructions
▢
Heat a large pot on medium heat with the olive oil.
▢
Add the garlic and cook for 5 minutes, until golden brown and fragrant, careful not to let it burn.
▢
Add the onion, crushed tomatoes, and basil.
▢
Bring the mixture to a boil and then turn to low, allowing it to simmer for 20 minutes.
▢
Remove the onions and garlic.
▢
Serve with your favorite pasta. Buon appetito!
