Creamy Miso Leek Dip

Caramelized sweet leeks are combined with the umami of miso, creamy goat cheese, and a kiss of honey.

Equipment

  • 1 skillet
  • 1 mixing/serving bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp white miso paste
  • 3 cups chopped leeks, cleaned, white and light green portion only
  • 8 oz goat cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • pinch of salt and black pepper
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives

Instructions
 

  • Heat a skillet over low heat and add your butter. Allow it to melt.
  • Add the miso paste and leeks. Let them cook until caramelized, stirring occasionally, about 15-20 minutes. Let cool.
  • Add the goat cheese, honey, sour cream, salt, pepper, and cayenne to a bowl and mix to combine.
  • Add in the leeks and gently fold to combine.
  • Garnish with fresh chives. Serve with your favorite dippers!
