Old Fashioned Sugar Plums

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup prunes
  • 1/2 cup dried figs
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup pecans or walnuts
  • 1/4 tsp all spice
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 cup Sweetened shredded coconut to roll them or crystal sugar

Instructions
 

  • Start by toasting the pecans in medium heat for a few minutes. You can use the oven to toast the pecans at 400F for 5 minutes.
  • In a food processor add the pecans and all the rest of the ingredients. Pulse to chop all the dried fruits and nuts until they become little pieces.
  • Open the lid and pour the honey. Continue to pulse until a dough forms.
  • Line a tray with parchment paper. Scoop the mixture into 1” balls and roll them on your hands. Place them on the tray.
  • Roll the sugar plums into shredded coconut. You can store them on the fridge for a week.
